Maureen's Fall

Fall is always a very busy time of the year in real estate as well as at the Mansoor household.  Real estate starts to gear up for the fall and the amount of calls that come in increase as well as the brisk pace of the market.  In addition to that, this fall in particular I was very sad to see that Hayley had to leave me to persue other endeavours and I am pleased to announce the arrival of Tia Petek as my new assistant!  Tia started training on September 25, 2006 with Hayley at her side for training support for one full week and commenced her new career as a full time realtors assistant on October 2, 2006.  Tia is proving to be just as efficient as Hayley and although I was very sad to see Hayley leave, I was very fortunate to be able to find a perfect replacement for her.

October is also a very busy birthday month in our household as mine falls on October 5th, my sister Lynda’s on the 19th and my brother Gerry’s birthday on the 27th all in the same month of October with my husband Ephraim following on November 20th.  Lots of creativity required to come up with  interesting gifts to buy each year.

On the homefront, we have been dealing with a sick puppy “Dyna” for the last month or so.  Unfortunately Dyna suffered a slight stroke which has left her with a residual head tilt which will probably remain with her permanently but fortunately, with much love, care and medication, she has regained her strength, balance and appetite and is as active as she was before the stroke.  It takes a lot to keep our “Dyna” down!

Ephraim and I are now getting accustomed to having the whole house to ourselves as our youngest son Michael moved out this past summer.  At first it was quite tramatic and we both found the house rather quiet on a daily basis, but once the shock has passed, we are actually starting to enjoy the benefits of having our time to ourselves.  Our two children live close enough by that they are able to visit on a regular basis, but just like grandchildren, we can then send them home!!

As we are heading into the Christmas/Chanukah season life will certainly become busier and busier I am sure but we always have our annual January 2 week Mexico vacation to look forward to while our kids stay at our home doggysitting for Dyna.  I’ll keep you posted as to the exact dates and perhaps some vacation photos in January!!
